Overwatch Guide: General tips for Sombra

• Sombra’s maximum health pool is 200 health.
• Her machine pistol has a magazine of 60 shots.
• Towers cannot detect Sombra when she is invisible.
• If Mercy heals an invisible Sombra, she will NOT be revealed. You can only see Mercy’s healing beam.

Sombra’s Teleporter:

• The teleporter lasts for 15 seconds before it disappears.
• The enemy team cannot destroy Sombra’s teleporter beacon.
• Once the teleporter has been thrown, you can still teleport, even if an enemy Sombra has hacked you.

Sombra’s Hack

• The range for hacking is 9-10 meters.
• The hack takes 0.5 to 1 second to activate.
• If an opponent is hacked, their health bar and ultimate status will appear.
• If you deal damage to Sombra, her hack is interrupted.
• If an opponent is hacked, they cannot use their abilities for 6 seconds. However, you can still see their health and ultimate status for 20-30 seconds.
• You CANNOT hack through barriers and shields.
• If Lucio is hacked, he can no longer switch his song. The selected song continues to play.
• If you hack someone with a nano boost, that boost will not be stopped, but the opponent still cannot use their abilities.

Hacking First Aid Packs 

• If a first-aid pack is hacked, the hack lasts 60 seconds. A purple skull appears above the pack, indicating how many seconds the hack still lasts. Enemies can see this as well. Before the skull dips below 20%, you can refresh the hack.
• A hacked pack recharges 3x faster than a normal pack.
• Multiple packs can be hacked at the same time.
• If an enemy Sombra has already hacked a pack, you cannot hack it yourself anymore.

Sombra’s ultimate attack EMP

• You must be able to see your opponents for EMP! If there are objects or walls in the way, the effect of the ultimate will be canceled.
• EMP is useless against Mei’s Ice Wall, enemies can hide behind it to protect themselves from EMP.
• Your ultimate not only destroys physical shields (like Reinhardt’s or Winston’s), but also shields in the health bar. This makes Sombra’s ultimate a direct counter to Lucio’s ultimate Sound Barrier! Additionally, you can damage Zenyatta and Zarya, as half of their health consists of shields.

Sombra’s Passive Opportunist  

• Only you can see which enemy is below 50% health. Communicate this with your team!

Sombra’s Thermo-Optical Camouflage

• If you take damage, you will be revealed. So you cannot rush into the other team without risk; suffered area damage makes you visible.
• You can use the camouflage for escaping and attacking.
