Fresh food for fans. Sombra (Overwatch) and the Necromancer (Diablo 3) have been leaked.
It seems that Blizzard won’t have the luck of keeping information under wraps for long in 2016 either. Because in the “Blizzard Gear Store,” the official shop of Blizzard, some images briefly appeared that reveal quite precisely where this year’s journey is heading.
Overwatch – Image of Sombra Confirms First Leak
There have been many discussions and rumors about Sombra, especially after a supposed image of the new heroine was leaked on the selection screen of Overwatch. Now an artwork of the master hacker has emerged, confirming this leak and showcasing Sombra in all her glory – riding a gigantic Omnic that she has obviously bent to her will. This seems to confirm that the new addition will be presented in more detail at BlizzCon.
The image also gives a small hint about possible abilities. The purple beams could be her “hacking ability” that allows her to temporarily take control of or manipulate weapon systems. But before that leads to new speculations, we better wait for BlizzCon and further statements from the developers.
Diablo – The Necromancer as a “new” class
Fans of Diablo 3 can also breathe easy, as they will receive new content at BlizzCon as well – provided the leak proves true. A second image showed the Necromancer in the shop, indicating that this class will be available in the game in the future. Whether that will come in the form of a patch or even a completely new expansion remains to be seen next weekend.
The Blizzcon 2016 will take place on November 4th and 5th. We will, of course, report for you.
Cortyn says: On one hand, I’m glad that there are finally more definitive information about Sombra, but on the other hand, it is naturally unfortunate for Blizzard if the big show is ruined by leaks coming to light beforehand. I just hope that these aren’t the only “big reveals” announced at BlizzCon – otherwise, that could leave fans disappointed in the end.
