A new hero will soon join the battlefields of Overwatch. We have the story background for Baptiste for you.
Late at night, Blizzard today (26.02.2019) released a new video on the Overwatch YouTube channel and surprisingly announced the next hero officially. Instead of showing gameplay directly, we first get the story background for Baptiste, which we certainly don’t want to keep from you.

What does the trailer reveal about Baptiste? Baptiste was a victim of the Omnic War in his youth. He lost his parents and was one of over 30 million orphans living on the streets. In order to survive, he killed or helped his friends.
But instead of making the world a better place, he ended up in a shady organization and later became someone who cared for new orphans. At that point, Baptiste had an epiphany and decided to shape the future of the world more positively.
Recently, players believed they had stumbled upon a secret room with information about Baptiste.
What kind of hero is Baptiste? According to the video and his own statements, Baptiste is a “combat medic,” meaning a healer who can also deal significant damage. Depending on who he encounters, he has either a bullet or a bandage. This “bandage” apparently comes in the form of medkits.
Because he carries just such a medkit in his hand in the trailer. Perhaps Baptiste is able to distribute medkits.
Overwatch has also received a new map with Paris.
