The hero shooter Overwatch has shot to the top of the UK sales charts.
The British are always the quickest when it comes to sales impressions. Chart Track publishes early in the week what has been sold in stores on the island the week before. This does not include “digital sales”, only what has gone through the counter. However, there are strong indications, that Overwatch has indeed sold more in this way than is usual for games nowadays.
According to the numbers, Overwatch is clearly number 1 ahead of Uncharted 4 and Doom. Homefront comes in at number 4, Total War: Warhammer enters at number 9.
As Chart Track reports, Overwatch is the console title from Blizzard that has sold the fastest. Admittedly, there isn’t much competition. Blizzard is traditionally a PC publisher, although Diablo 3 was also launched on consoles.
