Reinhardt in Overwatch loves to charge at his enemies. But when calculated correctly, the charge is even more humiliating.
In Overwatch, there are few moments more crushing than being hit by a charging Reinhardt. For 1-2 seconds, you see your virtual life flash before your eyes before Reinhardt demonstrates with his good friend “Wand X” how little space is needed to properly store a hero with less than 300 hit points. Other moments aren’t quite as bad when Reinhardt charges off a cliff and both characters die – nothing gained, nothing lost.
But it can get worse: Reinhardt charges in, carries a player to the edge, and throws the player off while he himself stands waving (and presumably grinning) exactly one centimeter from the edge.
Meanwhile, Reinhardt players have become quite adept at measuring their 55 meters accurately and have remembered where to start so as not to fall off the cliff while the victim screams toward death.
Cortyn says: On two maps (Volskaya and Gibraltar), I have become quite confident in finding the right “execution” to send a random player into infinity, but I am truly fascinated by what some players can do. There’s hardly anything more satisfying than getting such kills with Reinhardt – as long as you’re playing Reinhardt yourself.
P.S: If you want to troll your friendly Reinhardt during such actions, you should play Lúcio. The speed boost allows the charge to go beyond the 55 meters. I would like to thank all my teammates who have impressively shown me this while I happily charged into the abyss.
