Reinhardt apparently works as a jailer in Overwatch. At the very least, he locks players in places from which there is no escape.
Patch 1.13 (PC) or Patch 2.15 (PS4, Xbox One) has brought a lot of new features to Overwatch. There were some major changes to Reinhardt that were supposed to help make his charge more reliable. However, it hasn’t really worked out.
Not only was his charge drastically weakened, as he can no longer charge through barriers, railings, and street shields, a new bug has also crept in.
If Reinhardt drags someone with him during the charge, reaches the end of the path, and lands just before a wall, an annoying bug occurs. Instead of squashing the dragged player against the wall or releasing them, something else happens: The opposing player gets pushed into the wall!
Charge victims are helplessly locked in walls
Depending on the location, this leads to various issues. In some places, the victim simply falls through the floor and out of the map, leading to death – so a respawn is possible and the problem is minor.
In other cases, however, the affected player is locked in, unable to move, and can only be killed with difficulty by other players.
This bug is particularly frustrating in ranked games. It can even happen that players are marked as “afk” due to this bug, as they do not participate in any fights. Additionally, such a player is no longer useful for the team, which robs both sides of tension and enjoyment of the game.
There has been no statement from Blizzard regarding this bug yet. Given the impact it has taken, it can be assumed that the bug will be fixed in the next update – perhaps even a hotfix will be possible for it.
Have you ever been locked in a wall? Or have you locked someone up somewhere?
