Overwatch PTR Patch 1.26.0.0 Patch Notes
Patch Highlight
New Hero: Wrecking Ball (Tank)
With the new PTR patch, a new hero joins the roster of Overwatch. The hamster Hammond, also known as Wrecking Ball, appears as a new tank. His abilities make him a mobile threat that can clear opponents out of the way or roll over them directly.
Hero Updates
Bastion
- Configuration: Recon and Configuration: Sentry – The minimum damage at maximum range has been increased from 30% to 50%.
McCree
- Peacekeeper – The minimum damage at maximum range has been increased from 30% to 50%.
Mei
- Endothermic Blaster – The projectiles of the alternate fire mode no longer lose damage over distance.
Soldier: 76
- Heavy Pulse Rifle: The minimum damage at maximum range has been increased from 30% to 50%.
Widowmaker
- Widow’s Kiss – The automatic fire mode now deals less damage at greater distances (50% of damage at maximum range).
Developer Comment: The aim of these changes is to reduce the impact of mid-range weapon damage reduction.
Hanzo
- Storm Arrows
- Duration reduced from 6 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Cooldown increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.
Developer Comment: Hanzo’s new kit has turned out to be a bit too strong, especially his new Storm Arrows. We are reducing the frequency with which he can use this ability so that players can better play around it.
Sombra
- Camouflage
- Now lasts indefinitely.
- Sombra can no longer contest objectives while cloaked.
- The distance at which enemies can discover her has been increased from 2 to 4 meters.
- The movement speed bonus has been reduced from 75% to 50%.
- Teleportation
- Now lasts indefinitely.
- The Translocator can now be destroyed (5 health points).
Developer Comment: These changes are meant to help Sombra be easier to play and fulfill her role as an infiltrator and scout, as well as give her the opportunity to choose the timing for an ambush herself.
Map Updates
- The time to capture the objective has been reduced from 5 minutes to 4 minutes in quick matches and in the arcade.
Developer Comment: We found the overall time needed for a quick match to be too long. The times are now meant to be comparable to competitive matches while still providing sufficient time for attackers and defenders.
