Data miners have been working hard and extracted some lines of code in Overwatch that console owners should be pleased about …
PS4 and Xbox One basically confirmed
At the last BlizzCon, it had already been hinted that Overwatch could eventually be released for the current generation of consoles. However, this timeframe is likely not as far off in the future as previously suspected, but it could be coming very soon. Data miners have extracted some lines directly related to the consoles that are necessary for registration in the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.
Since Microsoft has announced that it will stream this year’s BlizzCon opening ceremony live on its console, there seems to be no other option than for Overwatch to get a taste of console gaming in the near future. Whether fans will be pleased if the “Filthy Console Peasants” might get to participate in a beta earlier than the “long-time, loyal” (and of course always friendly) PC players remains questionable.
Next week we will know more.
