There are Pokemon in Overwatch. They are fluffy, like ice cream, and are mostly named Mei.
Every week, absurd, exciting, or just funny moments happen in Overwatch, often captured in a “Play of the Game.” We have searched social media again and picked out three special highlights for you. Have fun with our 3 “Play of the Game” moments of the week!
If you want to feel a bit jealous for a few moments, you should watch the player Mrkd as he takes out the opposing team almost single-handedly as Widowmaker. With an incredibly high hit rate, he clears the enemy team while being praised by his teammates, who are overwhelmed with “Oh!” and “Ah!” And then comes what had to happen: as soon as Widowmaker is boosted by Ana with a nanoboost, the hit rate drops by 100%. But that is known to be a mechanic of the nanoboost.
Anyone who has ever played McCree dreams of the perfect moment. 6 people in sight when “High Noon” is ready, and with a single click, the entire enemy team is sent to respawn. Sylvan shows how to do it right and still look cool. The whole thing is rounded off with an emote where McCree tips his hat – just in time before the recording ends. Perfect performance, 10 out of 10 points.
For the finale, we have a staged, though pretty cool video. What would a good Pokemon trainer do when the opponent sends a wild D.Va with an explosion into the match? Right, throw a Mei with an ice block in front. That’s exactly what it looks like with these two players, as if Ana is “throwing” the Mei – and the result is quite impressive.
Have you also experienced a particularly cool game scene that you captured on video? Then just send us a link to the video and maybe you’ll find your clip in this post next week!
The “best player in the world” plays Roadhog – but in a rather unusual way.
