Who Pharah’s father could be has long occupied the fans of Overwatch .
When it comes to the background story of Overwatch, fans eagerly absorb every little piece of information they can gather. So far, the hero Pharah has attracted particular attention.
Her origins remain largely unknown. While we have known for a long time that Ana is her mother, paternity has (and is) a hotly debated topic in the community. Many fans speculated about Jack Morrison (Soldier: 76) being her father based on the storyline. Other players believed that Pharah could be the daughter of Reinhardt – the reason here was the naming of the skins. Reinhardt’s skins are named after metals and Ana’s after gems. Pharah, however, had a mix of both, which would have been the perfect reason.
In the comic “Reflections”, which came out last Christmas and especially drew attention due to Tracer’s open homosexuality, Pharah was seen with an unknown man. Most players thought that he was her husband or something similar.
In an interview, Michael Chu (Lead Writer behind Overwatch) revealed that the man in the comic is Pharah’s father.
Thus, there is still no absolute certainty about who exactly Pharah’s father is, but both Reinhardt and Soldier: 76 are definitively ruled out – as both are seen in other pictures.
The most likely theory is that Pharah’s father has nothing to do with Overwatch at all, or is a character that simply has no further relevance to the storyline of the shooter universe.
Overwatch also has serious issues – like AFK players who endlessly farm XP in Lúcioball!
