A new patch has been applied to Overwatch on the live servers. This brings some changes to heroes and the new hero Ashe.
Ashe is here! With the Overwatch patch from November 13, 2018, the new hero Ashe has been released. Along with the new DPS hero, some other heroes have received minor balance changes.
Overwatch Patch Notes for Ashe’s Release
New hero – Ashe: Ashe is a DPS hero who mainly relies on her lever-action rifle Viper to deal damage. She is the first heroine to use iron sights, which gives her a significant damage boost, if played correctly.
Ashe’s other abilities include:
- a bundle of dynamite
- a double-barreled shotgun
- her butler and bodyguard Bob
With her ultimate ability “B.O.B.” Ashe summons her giant omnic friend to her side, who lifts enemies into the air and thereafter bombards them with shots from his arm cannon. As long as Bob is active, the team effectively has 7 heroes in play.
Changes to other heroes: In addition to Ashe, some heroes have received minor changes affecting their effectiveness. Most of these changes are buffs:
- Mercy now heals 60 damage per second instead of 50 during Valkyrie and can activate Valkyrie 15% faster.
- Reaper heals 10% more from his shots and can fire more precisely, which some fans view as a nerf.
- Symmetra’s primary fire charges 20% faster.
A somewhat larger update has been received by the tank hero Roadhog. Roadhog’s hook now pulls enemies faster after hitting them and reduces their speed, making it harder for them to escape. The cooldown now begins as soon as he uses the ability.
Additionally, the spread pattern of Roadhog’s primary and alternate fire has been adjusted, and his ultimate has been slightly buffed. “Whole Hog” can now push targets back more forcefully and has less horizontal recoil.
There are also several bug fixes. You can find the full and official patch notes in German on the Overwatch website.

By the way, nothing has been tweaked on Brigitte, even though a good troll has made the Overwatch community believe otherwise.
