The new patch 1.9 for Overwatch is live on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. On consoles, the patch is 2.07. This brings the hero Orisa and numerous balance changes. We have the Overwatch patch notes.
After a long wait, the latest patch 1.9 for Overwatch is finally active on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One since this evening (21.03.2017). We have listed all patch notes for you.
The biggest highlights are probably the introduction of the new hero Orisa and the nerf for Bastion (PS4, Xbox One – already active on PC), making him easier to defeat. Aside from that, there are several improvements for Junkrat, Sombra, and Winston.

Ranked matches
- On Route 66, the attacking team now receives an additional 60 seconds when the payload reaches the first checkpoint.
Custom Game and Game Browser
- When creating a custom game, players can now modify or disable abilities that are used with the secondary fire mode button.
Hero Updates
Ana
- Biotic Rifle
- The damage has been reduced from 80 to 60.
Bastion
- Ironclad
- [XB1, PS4] Bastion now takes 20% less damage in configuration: Sentry or Tank (previously 35%).
Junkrat
- Steel Trap
- Junkrat’s explosions no longer damage himself.
Mercy
- Caduceus
- When you boost another player, the amount of increased damage is now recorded in the combat statistics and your career.
Sombra
- Hack
- Sombra’s teammates can now see hacked health packs through walls.
- Camouflage
- The hearing range of sound effects and speech upon activation or at the end of camouflage has been reduced to 15 meters.
- Translocator
- The cooldown has been reduced from 6 to 4 seconds.
Winston
- Barrier Projector
- The cooldown now starts when placing the barrier, not when it disappears.
Zarya
- Particle Barrier
- No longer prevents Zarya from being knocked back.
- Projected Barrier
- No longer prevents allies from being knocked back.
Zenyatta
- Sphere of Destruction
- The cooldown of the secondary fire mode has been reduced from 1 to 0.6 seconds.
- The projectile spread has been removed.
Fixed Bugs
General
- When teleporters, shield generators, and other player-created objects are destroyed, the name of the owner of the object is now displayed in the killfeed as intended.
AI
- A bug has been fixed that caused AI Bastion and AI Torbjorn to not take up a defensive position when turret abilities were disabled in custom games.
Ranked matches
- A visual bug has been fixed that caused your current medals not to display during the setup phase between rounds.
Custom Game and Game Browser
- A bug has been fixed that caused players to be revived in the enemy spawn area after being rammed by an enemy Reinhardt into a car on Oasis.
- A clarification about earning points has been added to the capture the flag settings. It states that your own flag must be secured before you can score a point.
- A bug has been fixed that caused certain settings to show in the info screen of custom games even though they were not used.
- A bug has been fixed that caused the setting “Ultimeter Charge” values not to display as intended.
- Heroes and maps are now alphabetically sorted in the “Find Game” filter in the game browser.
- A bug has been fixed that prevented Bastion’s ability self-repair from being disabled in custom game settings.
Heroes
- A bug has been fixed that caused Bastion’s running animation not to display while self-repair was active.
- McCree’s Deadly Strike meter now no longer charges when he throws his flashbang against Mei’s Ice Wall.
- A bug has been fixed that caused a successful hook from Roadhog not to be counted in the “Hook Hits” statistic if the enemy hero had already died from impact damage.
- A bug has been fixed that caused Zenyatta’s feet to protrude from his robe when the Sanzang skin was equipped.
- A bug has been fixed that caused Reaper’s shotguns and D.Va’s mech to appear unusually large in the main menu.
Maps
- When training bots are destroyed in the practice range, this information is now displayed in the killfeed.
- A bug has been fixed that allowed more than one player to enter the practice range.
Aside from that, new “Anti-Draw” rules are currently being tested.
