In the new Overwatch patch 2.09, there are issues that have caused some game modes to be disabled. A solution is already being worked on.
The recently released patch 2.09 for Blizzard’s shooter Overwatch not only activated the new Uprising event, but also had a few undiscovered problems. Due to these issues, the developers have now been forced to disable several game modes on PC, PS4, and Xbox One until a solution is found .
Overwatch game modes disabled
In the official Overwatch forum, community manager Lylirra states that there are technical issues with the latest patch 2.09. The difficulties affect the platforms PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For this reason, the following features have been immediately disabled on all platforms:
- Custom Game Saves
- 3v3 Elimination
- 6v6 Capture the Flag
- Leaderboards
There is currently no estimated date for when the errors will be fixed and the features reactivated. Additionally, it is still unclear what the error was that caused the deactivation. As soon as there are updates on this matter, we will update this article and inform you.
Until these modes are working again, you can try out the new PvE mode or pass the time with the patch notes for update 2.09.
Update: The game modes have since been reactivated.
Custom Game saves, Leaderboards, 3v3 Elimination, and 6v6 Capture the Flag have been reenabled on all platforms.
