Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo make their way to Overwatch – through skins! At Blizzcon 2017, Blizzard announced the new content of the loot boxes. We can expect costumes from all Blizzard universes in the standard loot!
Fresh meat! The new skins bring the Blizzard universes to Overwatch!
Overwatch takes place in the future of our world – so of course there was also Blizzard and all the universes they designed! Apparently, among the Overwatch heroes, there are also some fans of the franchises. In an upcoming major update, the Overwatch team will bring skins into the game that look like really good cosplays from Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo!

The heroes (and villains) from Overwatch will soon be able to adorn themselves with the look of some celebrities from Azeroth, Sanctuary or the Korvax Sector. Overwatch origin skins will also find their way into the game. Here is the complete list of announced skins:
- Immortal Orisa
- Magni Bronzebeard Torbjörn
- Nova Widowmaker
- Blackhand Doomfist
- Barbarian Zarya
- Butcher Roadhog
- Crusader Reinhardt
- Ecopoint Mei
Some of these skins play very cleverly with their origins. For example, Zarya’s weapon charge in this skin is the rage bar of the Barbarian from Diablo, and her weapon has a socket for gems, and the Butcher Roadhog takes a health potion during his breather.
The Warcraft skins also look very convincing. They stimulate the imagination of whether more crossovers could be possible (Blademaster Genji or War Machine Bastion).
In our gallery, you can take a look at all the skins individually and at your leisure.
No event skins, but standard loot!
Whether in events, in the arcade through level-ups or through real money – there are Overwatch loot boxes everywhere. However, many players have already completed a large part of the collection and only receive duplicates. The new skins are therefore not available in event boxes, but will be added to the content of the standard loot boxes!
According to Kaplan, these skins are just a small preview of what is to come. He promises a big update to the loot boxes that will be rolled out early next year!
By the way, it will not be worth it to accumulate the loot boxes. Since the content of the boxes is set as soon as they are generated, standard loot boxes will only contain the loot they could give now at a later time. It is unlikely that Blizzard will change that.
