A new patch is available on the PTR for Overwatch and brings some new features and bug fixes. One of the most interesting changes is not even mentioned in the Overwatch patch notes.
This is included in the new PTR patch: The PTR patch from December 15 mainly addresses bugs related to heroes and maps. All heroes will receive two new skins from the Overwatch League.
Reaper and Tracer also receive a very special feature for the map Busan.
Overwatch PTR Patch Notes from December 15
The secret change: Reaper and Tracer can now sing in the karaoke box on the map Busan. They just need to stand in the middle of the small stage in one of the spawn rooms and press the displayed button.
While Tracer belts out a tune with full lungs and somewhat hypes herself up, Reaper is more of the typical grump – similar to the anniversary video. When Reaper is coaxed into singing, he only comments with: “I do not sing.”
In November, Ashe’s aim not functioning correctly. Ashe is the first hero with the ability to aim with her weapon using sights, which with a trick even results in significantly more damage.
This mechanic has led to some players experiencing stuttering visuals at higher frame rates, making it difficult to aim. This should be fixed with the new patch.
The other bug fixes address sudden movements with Reinhardt and Brigitte, as well as issues with Torbjörn’s turret and Winston’s jump pack. Bugs have also been fixed on the following maps:
- Busan, where shields in the MEKA base did not function properly.
- Hollywood, where destroyed railings still blocked projectiles.
- King’s Row, where players could stand on the shield of Moriarty’s Fine Books.
You can find the full patch notes in English on the official Overwatch forum.
What do you think of the changes on the PTR?
The live servers have also received a new patch. The new Overwatch patch hits Brigitte especially hard.
