The latest event from Overwatch is now live. The “Uprising” brings numerous new skins and finally a fresh PvE mode! However, there are no Overwatch patch notes.
As promised, Overwatch today, on April 11, 2017, launched a new event. The “Uprising” brings a lot of new cosmetic upgrades and even a fresh game mode. The latest Overwatch patch is about 1.5 GB on PC and may therefore take a while to download on slower connections.
During the event, all new loot boxes will be replaced with special event loot boxes that may contain all new cosmetic upgrades.
The eponymous “Uprising” is a key event in Overwatch’s past, just before the organization is disbanded. Overwatch is already embroiled in negative news and has no real authority to act – especially not in England. Nevertheless, a team is sent to bring the situation under control.
The event includes not only numerous new skins, highlight intros, and spray logos but primarily the coveted PvE mode “Uprising”, in which four players must work together to contain the threat of the Omnics and complete various mission objectives. Depending on the performance, there are then experience points and thus loot boxes. The new game mode can be selected through the Arcade and is also only available until the end of the event.
New Skins and Game Modes in Overwatch’s Uprising
Among the most sought-after items are probably the new skins, which showcase the well-known Overwatch heroes in outfits.
The event runs from April 11 to May 1 inclusive. Anyone looking to secure corresponding loot boxes with a chance of new skins, sprays, voicelines, and emotes should play more Overwatch in the coming weeks and perhaps let the May tour fall through. Or simply throw a bunch of money at the problem, as loot boxes can also be purchased with real money.
There are no patch notes yet for the “Uprising” – however, the update probably only contains the new game modes and cosmetic expansions.
