A certain type of items is not included in the Halloween loot boxes of Overwatch. We will reveal what it’s all about.
Currently, the Halloween event 2017 is taking place in Overwatch. There is again the cool Junkenstein game mode as well as plenty of new and old cosmetic items. However, a few items are missing and can no longer be included in the loot boxes.
The tombstone victory poses, where characters rise as zombies from a graveyard at the end of a match, cannot be obtained from loot boxes this year!
Blizzard does not want tombstone heroes
In the official forum, Blizzard explained why they decided to take this step. While the tombstone poses perfectly captured the spookiness of Halloween, they do not represent the characters of the various heroes well.
The only exception is Reaper. His tombstone victory pose can still be obtained from loot boxes, as it makes sense for this character. After all, Reaper is the only hero who is truly undead.
Apparently, Blizzard is not entirely satisfied when the different characters are identified as “dead” – especially not when they stand as winners at the end of a match.
The victory poses, however, are not disappearing from the game. Those who want them can buy them directly during the event for 75 credits, which is the normal price for a rare pose.
As a small “compensation” for this, there is a whole load of new victory poses, where the characters hold up pumpkins, which is supposed to better match the characters’ personalities. Or so.
What do you think of these changes to the tombstone victory poses? Silly step, for which you now have to spend credits? Or a logical matter and well justified?
