A player has found concrete clues about hero number 30 from Overwatch. A telltale head appears in the game.
Many players are currently active in Overwatch to complete the current Ana Challenge and unlock the new skin “Bastet”. This has already been revealed in the short story, which also disclosed the homosexuality of Soldier: 76.
However, it seems that an exciting detail is hidden in the update: a concrete hint about the next hero.
Mysterious head discovered on the Anubis map: The Reddit user DocterrificDoc discovered a special detail while viewing his skins in the background. On the market of the Anubis map, where many robot/Omnic skulls are advertised, a new head has appeared, namely this one.
Also interesting is that several robot busts reminiscent of Echo (from the McCree cinematic) have also disappeared from the background.
Concept art of a new hero: The new head bears strong similarities to a character that was already seen in an early concept drawing of Overwatch. The shape of the head, its glasses, and the jaw armor are almost identical.
Changes only in the background, not on the map: The interesting thing is that these changes to the Anubis map are not really found “on the map”, but only when Anubis is used in the background in menus. For example, when viewing skins, highlight intros, or other cosmetic items.
