The Halloween event 2017 for Overwatch went live last night! This year, the Halloween brawl “Junkenstein’s Revenge” gets an additional mode: Endless!
Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless – with Leaderboard!
As you may have already heard, the Arcade brawl “Junkenstein’s Revenge” is receiving an addition this year: The “Endless” mode (in English “Endless Night”). In this mode, it’s not about winning in the shortest time possible. Instead, you and your teammates must survive for as long as possible. The waves of zombies become increasingly stronger. After enough waves have been defeated, “bonus waves” will come in to determine the ranking.

Unlike in the regular Junkenstein brawl, in the Endless mode, bosses can also appear more frequently – even multiple at the same time. It is not uncommon for two summoners (Symmetra) and four monsters (Roadhog) to attack the heroes at once. It becomes particularly critical when the witch (Mercy) appears as well.
To make it a little easier – or at least feasible – besides the already known heroes, Zenyatta, Torbjörn, Widowmaker, and Genji can also be selected. To really get far, a good combination is also necessary.

Endless Night: Survive until the never-ending morning!
An effective composition would be, for example, McCree, Soldier 76, Torbjörn, and Zenyatta. As in the “Story” mode, Soldier and McCree are also very strong here. With their high damage at all ranges and accuracy, they are very helpful in taking down zombies as well as bosses.

Especially McCree’s ultimate is very useful, as it deals extremely high damage to bosses or even kills them instantly. Soldier’s biotic field should also not be forgotten to support the healer.
Zenyatta is the stronger choice in this mode compared to Ana. On one hand, he can heal more accurately, and on the other hand, Ana’s biotic grenade is only limited in use. It has to be timed precisely to prevent Roadhog from healing himself. The sleep dart often misses a target.
Zenyatta can work well with all three others by defeating the target with the Orb of Discord through teamwork. Since it does not have to be charged up first, it is the stronger alternative to the Nanoboost here.

Torbjörn can shine particularly in horde mode. His entire repertoire seems to be made for just this. If the turret is placed in a high position where it can cover a large area, it will easily dismantle Omnics – and also Junkenstein’s Kamikaze tires.
The Viking, as he is called here, thus allows the others to focus on the important things. His armor, which becomes particularly important later, and his Molten Core are very valuable in the fight against the bosses.

The difficulty levels are “Normal”, “Hard”, “Expert”, and “Legendary”. Not for the faint-hearted! In the end, there’s a spot on the new leaderboard that has been implemented specifically for this mode!
If you prefer to pass the time with “normal” game modes, you can enjoy Halloween versions of Eichenwalde and Hallowood – uh – Hollywood during the event.
