This time, it’s all about the mysterious Overwatch and the Reaper, who caused chaos and destruction in the intro trailer with his dual shotguns. It is hardly surprising that his real playstyle is very similar.
Hunting the Overwatch Agents
Story-wise, the Reaper is a ruthless terrorist who has dedicated himself to the annihilation of all former Overwatch agents in the recent past. He uses Inferno shotguns as his weaponry, which can fire up to 8 shots before needing to be reloaded – definitely weapons for close range.
- To get close to his enemies, the Reaper can use the ability “Phantom“, which briefly makes him an invulnerable shadow, although he cannot attack or use abilities during this time. This is perfect for escaping or bridging the distance to the opponent unharmed.
- Also quite insidious is the “Shadow Step“: Over the course of about 4 seconds, the Reaper teleports to his target – if used skillfully, one can likely carry out many sneaky assassinations on healers.
- His ultimate ability, the “Death Dance“, allows him to dismantle entire groups of opponents with ease; for a few seconds, he bombards everything around him with seemingly endless shots from his guns.
