The community of Blizzard’s shooter Overwatch is collecting for cookies.
The “Blizzard Cookie Project” has achieved its goal. $2413 (€2308) have been raised on Indiegogo that they want to spend to do something good for Blizzard. The original target was only $625, but that was far exceeded.
The cookies are a thank you to Blizzard for Overwatch, for a “great gaming experience that has provided us with thousands of hours of entertainment.” Furthermore, Blizzard has kept good contact with the community and has provided everyone with beautiful and regular updates. The project originated on reddit.

Blizzard says: Not too many cookies, rather toys for sick children
The actual calculation was: Approximately 100 developers are involved in Overwatch. 250 cookies should be enough. If we take $2.50 per cookie, we’ll have some decent ones.
However, it has now far exceeded $2000. Soon enough for 1000 cookies. To avoid overfeeding the developers or giving them a sugar shock, it is planned to stick with the original 250 cookies. The suggestion was made by Blizzard itself. The remaining money is intended to be donated in Blizzard’s name to the organization Child’s Play, which works with children’s hospitals to provide toys and games to children in treatment.
