Blizzard is suing a cheat manufacturer for Overwatch cheating software. And once again, it comes from Germany.
Quality Cheats from Germany – Sued in California?
Groundhog Day. The legal dispute between the German software developer Bossland and Blizzard is entering a new round. After it was already made clear at the beginning of last month that there is actually only one major cheating software for Overwatch and it comes from Germany, Blizzard has now sued the manufacturer Bossland again.
The cheat program allows you to see the positions of all enemies and allies on an additional radar, as well as display the distance to your character – ambushes have become virtually impossible.
A small catch has arisen though. Since Blizzard filed the lawsuit in California, Bossland faces little judicial danger – what a California court says about a German cheat manufacturer is likely of little concern to Bossland. At least the CEO of Bossland, Zwetan Letschew, is relatively calm about the situation.
Mein-MMO states: Quality made in Germany. Joking aside, it is actually quite sad that such providers even have a market, as it only shows how many players are willing to pay real money for an unfair advantage – fully aware that they take the fun away from all other players. Since the mentality of some players is unlikely to change, it would be nice if this issue would finally be a thing of the past and some parts of the terms of service would indeed be binding. Until then: Stay fair, then the fun will be greatest for everyone.
