Crude humor? Check. Funny Overwatch parody? Check. Definitely not for everyone? Check!
Where there are fans, there are also plenty of fan creations that have seen the digital light of the internet. Overwatch is no exception and has already produced numerous parodies, from music videos to comic adaptations or live-action movies.
However, one video particularly caught our eye in the past few days from YouTuber Juston Bibero. He took on the latest big cinematic from Sombra, Infiltration, and created his own version from it.
The video is packed with all sorts of memes and “internet gags” that have accumulated over the years. Also included are, of course, a few specific jokes from the Overwatch universe. You should definitely check out his work “Overwatch Animated Short | MLG Boop”:
Cortyn says: You can definitely argue about the humor of each individual change in this parody (as is the case with all internet memes), but the quality of the editing is excellent. Many details only became apparent to me on the second viewing, such as Mei’s spray logo. But it was especially when Widowmaker’s tutorial loaded and explained how she should aim properly that I had to grin. When Sombra then shoots Lady Volskaya down, I actually flinched a bit – I simply didn’t expect that. It’s always great to see the high level at which fan creations are made.
