The Winter Wonderland event brings numerous new skins to Overwatch. We showcase all the new features.
The latest patch of Overwatch has been live since last night and brought the Christmas event “Winter Wonderland”. In addition to the new brawl “Mei’s Snowball Fight” and extensive changes to Symmetra, the event also introduced fresh skins to the game. We present all new skins that can only be obtained in the game until January 2nd. Either you draw them with luck from loot boxes or purchase them directly from the hero gallery for credits. However, the prices are – as usual for event skins – three times as high as comparable skins.
Epic Skins
The following skins are categorized as “epic” and therefore cost 750 credits for direct purchase. Particularly interesting are the skins for Pharah and Reaper, but fans of the lovable chubby Roadhog will also probably like him in festive Christmas decorations. Click the images to enlarge.
Legendary Skins
The skins listed below are classified as “legendary” and therefore cost a hefty 3,000 credits for purchase. If someone wants to afford such a skin, they might want to wait until the end of the event and hope to draw it from one of the loot boxes beforehand. Besides cute outfits for Mei and Tracer, the skins for McCree (as Scrooge) and Winston (as Yeti) are particularly convincing. And – after months of waiting – there is finally the Torbjörn skin as Santa. The world has been waiting for this for several years (since the alpha). Click the images to enlarge.
Which skin is your favorite and which one do you like the least? Have the new items already encouraged you to purchase loot boxes or are you steadfast and farming the “traditional” way? Let us know in the comments.
