Overwatch will deliver two fresh cinematics featuring the heroes Soldier: 76, Hanzo, and Genji this month.
2 Cinematics featuring Soldier: 76, Hanzo, and Genji
Overwatch, the upcoming hero shooter from Blizzard, draws a lot of attention even among those who aren’t interested in shooters or action games. The reason for this is the high-quality short films that introduce the backstory of the game world. The developers promised a total of 4 cinematics about different characters, but only 2 have been released so far. Now they have announced the date when the other videos will be released.
On May 22, just 2 days before the release of Overwatch, the two missing cinematics will be shown in some cinemas in America, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Poland.
Meanwhile, it is also known which characters will be featured in the cinematics. The first will focus on Soldier: 76 and his past, along with wild street battles and plenty of action. The second video is about the Shimada brothers Genji and Hanzo. The two are engaged in a long family feud over honor and duty – we will learn more about it in the coming weeks. A first teaser of both videos has been uploaded by the Coke eSports Twitter account.
It is to be expected that the short films will also be available on YouTube shortly after that. Therefore, it’s only a matter of time before we get to enjoy the two films.
In the meantime, check out the two other cinematics that have already been released:
