A legendary Kiriko skin for Overwatch 2 can currently be easily earned by just running a stream in the background.
Overwatch 2 is full of stylish skins for the 35 characters – but most of them are quite expensive. If you haven’t earned many skins during “Overwatch 1”, you might be deterred by the prices. After all, individual skins cost around €20 – at least the legendary ones.
You can grab a legendary skin for the latest hero Kiriko for free if you watch a bit of Twitch. We’ll tell you how to do it.
What kind of skin are we talking about? We’re referring to the “Sukajan” skin for the latest hero Kiriko. This legendary skin showcases Kiriko in a crop top casual outfit, in contrast to her “standard” skin, where she wears typical Japanese temple attire.
How does it work? To obtain the skin, you need a Twitch account, which you then link to your Battle.net account. This can be done on the Battle.net website. Log in with your account, select “Account Settings”, and then the “Connections” menu on the left. Click on “Connect” under the “Twitch” section and confirm your Twitch account.
Next, you simply need to watch some streams on Twitch in the “Overwatch” category. Just keep an eye out for whether the respective streams have “Drops” enabled – most streamers advertise this in their stream title. Now watch the stream for 2 hours to unlock the voice line “I take care of my friends” and then for another 4 hours to snag the Sukajan skin for Kiriko.
You don’t have to watch the time “in one go”. Whether you complete the 6 hours in one session or spread it over several days doesn’t matter – the total time counts.
Do you have to watch actively? No, you don’t have to. If Twitch streams and random people playing Overwatch don’t interest you, you can simply let the stream run in the background and mute it. The important thing is that the stream is running and that you claim your first reward after 2 hours, because only then do the 4 hours for the Kiriko skin start counting.
Claiming rewards can be done on the Twitch site at the top right under “Notifications” or directly on the “Inventory” page of Twitch.
However, keep in mind that the offer only runs until October 16, 2022. So you should try to get the skin in the next few days if you want it.
If you don’t obtain the skin through this promotion, it can also be purchased with premium currency in the next season.
Have you already gotten the skin? Or do you not appreciate this way of earning skins?
