In Overwatch 2 the Halloween event 2022 has finally started. On this occasion, we show you a way to get a free skin for Winston through Twitch Drops.
What kind of skin is this? It is the legendary skin of the tank Winston. This is called Werewolf and completely changes the appearance of your silverback. You get not only a spooky jetpack made of glowing green logs but also fierce teeth and glowing green eyes with tattered clothing.
Overwatch 2 officially doesn’t offer a free skin for the event this time, but you still have the chance to grab one through Twitch. We will show you how to do it.

How to get the Halloween skin for Winston
How do I get the skin? The Werewolf skin can be obtained through Twitch Drops. You need a functioning Twitch and “Battle.net” account for this. If you have both, you just need to link them on Battle.net.
Then select a streamer who has “Drops enabled” or “Drops aktiviert” under their stream and broadcasts Overwatch 2 live. You must watch them for a total of six hours.
After the first two hours, you will receive the “Werewolf Winston Spray” and then after four more hours the “Werewolf Winston Skin”.
After the first two hours, you must redeem your reward in the Drops menu on Twitch so that the four hours for the skin can start. You can also redeem it there after the four hours. If you don’t do this, your drops will be lost after 7 days, so don’t forget this step.
What free items are there? Twitch Prime gives you a total of two items for free:
- Werewolf Winston Spray – For 2 hours watched
- Werewolf Winston Skin – For 4 hours watched
How long does the offer last? You have time for Winston’s skin from October 25, 8 PM to November 6, 8 PM. After that, the event is considered missed and no longer valid.
A little tip: Not everyone wants to or has the time to watch a stranger play for 4 hours. Often you want to sit at the controller or keyboard yourself and jump into battle.
To still grab the rewards, you can let the stream run silently in the background on your phone or PC. Meanwhile, you can play yourself or take care of other things and still get your rewards.
