The release of Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been postponed once again – but only for the consoles PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version is still scheduled to be released in 2018.
One of the hidden gems at E3 2018 was OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead – a zombie co-op shooter in the style of Left4Dead set in the universe of The Walking Dead. The co-op game strongly refers to the comic source material by Robert Kirkman. The story and fates of the individual characters are supposed to be at the forefront of the action.
After the game has already been postponed several times, there is again bad news for console players who were looking forward to the release this coming fall.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is postponed to February 2019
Further delay: There will be another postponement of the game. Specifically, it concerns the console versions for the PS4 and Xbox One. According to the developers, the console versions are now set to be released on February 8, 2019 (February 6 in North America).
PC version on schedule: PC players, however, have no reason to worry. The release of Overkill’s The Walking Dead for their platform is still scheduled for November 8, 2018 (November 6 in North America).
It went similarly with Payday 2, which was also developed by Overkill. There, too, the PC version was released first, on which the developers apparently primarily focused.
