At the end of February, the demo for the RPG shooter Outriders will start. In this, you can thoroughly test the four classes available in the game. MeinMMO wants to know from you: Which one will you try first?
This is Outriders: It is a new third-person shooter from the developer People Can Fly, who some may already know from the shooter Bulletstorm or the CoD parody Duty Calls. The creators compare Outriders most closely to a Diablo, while the shooter mechanics resemble other third-person shooters like Anthem or The Division.

When does the demo start? It starts already on February 25, this coming Thursday for PC (Steam), PS4, and PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. It is free for everyone and can be played indefinitely.

Which classes can be played?
The classes in Outriders differ greatly from one another. They not only fill classic roles such as tank or assassin. Each class has three subclasses in the form of skill trees that can also be combined with each other.
Here is a brief summary of the 4 different classes available in Outriders:
- Trickster:
- A nimble assassin who can manipulate space and time with his abilities. He is particularly effective in close combat, can slow down enemies with his special blade and heals himself through kills from short range.
- With his skills, the Trickster can create holograms of himself to outsmart enemies and can also teleport.
- Pyromancer:
- A type of fire mage who can burn or freeze enemies with powerful skills. He is strong from medium range and can hinder enemy groups and deal significant damage over time through burn effects.
- The Pyromancer has access to a thermal bomb that sets enemies on fire and immobilizes them.
- Devastator:
- Using gravity, this class can influence the earth. Combined with strong tank abilities, the Devastator is like a steam locomotive, healing through kills in close combat and inflicting bleeding damage with his strikes.
- With his abilities, the Devastator can float and annihilate entire groups with a powerful impact. Additionally, he can impale other enemies with earth pillars.
- Technomancer:
- This class is equipped with numerous gadgets such as a turret, a minigun, and a rocket launcher. He is also the only one who can heal the team with his ability. He primarily fights from a distance, can additionally poison and freeze enemies.
- Thus, the turret can slowly take out other enemies through poison clouds, the rocket launcher can stop boss enemies, and the minigun can mow down entire groups.

What else is in the demo? In the demo for Outriders, you can create up to six different characters, choose from the four classes, and play the first hours of the story with them. You can play each character up to level 7 and collect loot as well as try out up to 5 World Tiers (difficulty levels for missions).
