With the latest update, Outriders has made some changes. This includes an exploit that allowed players to acquire many legendary weapons. MeinMMO shows you how to farm loot outside of expeditions after the patch.
Where can you find the best loot in Outriders? In the endgame, there is no way around the expeditions. Not only will you find more legendary equipment there, but you will also receive loot with higher item levels.
However, until you reach the point where you can complete these expeditions at high challenge ranks, you will at least need decent equipment. This is available at world tier 15.
Therefore, we show you how you can efficiently farm loot in Outriders after the patch and also acquire legendary equipment.

Hunt and Wanted Missions
What kind of missions are these? Once you reach Trench Town in the main story, you unlock these mission types.
- Hunt missions send you on the hunt for monsters
- Wanted missions give you humans as targets
In each area, you will find such missions; there are a total of 10 hunt and 10 wanted missions. They are not only reliable loot sources, but they also reward you with a legendary item.
Before the patch, it was possible to exploit and earn 10 legendary items per hour. Now, according to YouTuber KhrazeGaming, there is one legendary item for approximately 35 minutes of effort. However, you must keep one thing in mind.
This is how you farm the missions efficiently: The rewards you receive from these missions scale with your world level. It doesn’t help to just increase the rank when claiming a reward.
However, it is sufficient to complete one of the 10 missions at your highest world tier. You should therefore proceed as follows:
- Play the hunt missions, as these are generally shorter
- Complete 9 out of 10 missions at world tier 1 to get through as quickly as possible
- Then complete the last remaining mission at the highest available world tier
- Once you have completed all 10 missions, claim your reward.
- Completing all 10 grants a legendary item

Follow these methods and unlock world tier 15 before starting the expeditions.
World Tier 15 prepares you for higher expedition levels
Here’s why you should do this: Once you reach world tier 15, you can find equipment up to item level 42. This gives you a significant advantage when starting expeditions.
Because these have their own progression system in the form of challenge ranks. There are also 15 levels, and each grants you equipment at a certain item level.
The catch: While you can find equipment at item level 42 in world tier 15, you must play through to challenge rank 8-9 in expeditions to obtain similarly strong equipment.

- Vendor offers scale with your challenge rank.
- If you reach rank 9, vendors already offer equipment at level 46. Additionally, you can purchase the essential resource Titan from the vendor.
- To earn scrap, you can simply sell found equipment.
- This way, you can easily amass enough cash from a certain level. You will find particularly interesting vendors in Trench Town and in your camp.
- Do not blindly sell rare (blue equipment).
- First, check if they have useful stats for you and whether the mods are applicable. You can easily upgrade this equipment by one level and enhance it to epic (purple) gear. A thorough check is definitely worthwhile.
As mentioned above: In the long run, there is no way around the expeditions. However, you can equip yourself well so that you can really get started in the actual endgame.
