At its press conference during the E3 2019, Square Enix introduced the new co-op shooter Outriders. Here’s what we know so far.
About this game: Outriders will be a new dark co-op shooter set in a sci-fi universe from People Can Fly. The game is set to release in summer 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

That’s why Outriders reminds of Anthem and Doom: Some fans noted that Outriders is similar to Anthem in certain aspects.
Especially the alien world with its old mysterious architecture and obvious ruins of an ancient civilization, as well as the weather phenomena and the hostile environment, are somewhat similar to the world of Anthem.
Apparently, there will be no combat suits, but still different classes. Heavily equipped characters and elemental abilities, as showcased impressively by the lady in the three-person team in the trailer.
Moreover, the somewhat apocalyptic setting with demon-like enemies and the hellish environment also evokes the atmosphere of the well-known shooter Doom, where you fight against the spawn of hell.
What’s in Outriders: Earth is perishing, and some people are heading to the stars to find a new home. You take on the role of an “Outrider” and explore the hostile alien planet Enoch.
There you quickly realize that Enoch is not a place you would want to call home and build a colony. In the course of the story, you pursue a mysterious signal that you must investigate. Apparently, you cannot escape the relentless planet because the ship was damaged on the way to this alien world.
Outriders aims to provide a strong story that can be experienced either alone or with friends. Up to two additional players can join an ongoing game through the drop-in/drop-out system.
Special attention will be given to the gunplay, a lavish and bizarre arsenal of weapons, and a hostile world. The game depth is also said to offer a lot. More details cannot be revealed at this point, according to the developers.
