The demo for the new MMO shooter Outriders is coming in February. The developers have now provided details about the content of the demo.
When does the demo run? The demo for Outriders will start on February 25, 2021. You can begin at 18:00 CET in Germany. Then you can test the new shooter and gather experiences. How do I get the demo? In Germany, the demo is expected to be available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (Steam). PlayStation players ideally need a PS Plus access to play the demo for free. Alternatively, it is possible to play without PS Plus, but then you must undergo the usual age verification.
These are the download sizes: On PC, you must download at least 24 GB to play the demo. On consoles, it will be at least 22 GB.
A preload is not planned. So expect that you won’t be able to start at 18:00 but will first need to complete the download.
Will there be crossplay? Yes, crossplay is expected to be available. However, the developers emphasize that this feature will be in beta form, and you will need to activate it manually.
How intensively can I play? That is entirely up to you. There should be no limits, and you can invest as much time in the demo as you wish.
The demo is expected to remain available even after release.
What gameplay content is there? According to the developers, you will be able to play the opening chapter in the demo. The enemies and loot will also be suitable for the early game. It has been emphasized that the content will become crazier and more powerful later on.
You should be able to play in the story until the showdown with Gauss. He is your first rival. After successfully defeating Gauss, you should also return to the game world through a side mission to continue exploring it.
These features you can use: All 4 classes and 6 character slots will be activated. This way, you can try all available classes and do not have to delete any class later when you want to use another one.
You can level your characters up to a maximum of level 7. This way, you can unlock your 4th ability and combine your active skills.
In the demo, you can reach a maximum of World Tier 5. This determines the probability of legendary loot. The developers emphasize that at this level, while the chance for the loot is increased, it is still extremely low.

Can I transfer the demo save? Yes, that should be possible. However, this is only possible if you play the full game on the same platform. You cannot transfer the save to another platform.
