Devastator (English: Devastator)
This is how the Devastator fights: This class is like the brawler in Outriders. He can interrupt enemies in their attacks and is an effective boss killer. His abilities revolve around controlling gravity and earth-shattering attacks. However, these traits are not only useful offensively; they can also be used for protection.
Similar to the Trickster, the Devastator gains health when taking out enemies at close range. The difference is that the Devastator has a significantly larger health and armor pool. With further passive talents, he can become an absolute tank. Additionally, his melee attacks can cause a bleeding status to deal damage over time.
These are the skills of the Devastator:
- Earthquake (Level 1): Creates a shockwave that damages all enemies in front of you and interrupts them.
- Golem (Level 1): Gives you extra armor for 8 seconds that absorbs 65% of the damage.
- Gravity Leap (Level 4): With this ability, you can hover in the air temporarily, similar to the Storm Javelin from Anthem. If you activate the skill again while targeting an enemy, you dive down and slam into your chosen victim. This doesn’t just hit one target but deals additional area damage.
- Reflect Bullets (Level 6): This skill generates a gravity field that intercepts enemy shots. It can protect you and your teammates from enemy fire. Additionally, you can throw all intercepted shots back at your foes.
- Impale (Level 9): You can summon sharp stone pillars that impale one or more enemies from below. If the damage is fatal, enemies are skewered. This looks brutal and grants your team a 9-second bonus to armor and status resistance. The skill also hits enemies in cover.
- Tremor (Level 13): Causes some explosions in your vicinity, damaging enemies and draining health.
- Boulderdash (Level 17): Ram enemies away, and at the end of your ramming attack, deliver massive area damage with a powerful slam on the ground.
- Endless Mass (Level 22): This ability conjures a gravitational chunk that pulls all enemies in the vicinity towards it. Essentially, it creates a personal black hole. It deals damage and can be combined with other skills and area attacks as enemies are all at one point.
These are the subclasses and skill tree of the Devastator:
- Conqueror: This path focuses on melee combat and provides damage bonuses for shotguns and assault rifles.
- Protector: With this subclass, the Devastator becomes the ultimate tank—thanks to massive bonuses to health, armor, and status resistances.
- Earthshaker: This subclass focuses more on damage over time, status effects, and combat at medium range.
