This Friday you can start into a long weekend. What games are you playing from April 28 to May 1?
Many of you can start into a long weekend today and won’t have to go back to work until Tuesday. That sounds great: A few days to relax and spend time on your hobbies. Our editorial team has already planned a few games to play over the next few days. Which games will you be spending the next few days on?
Heroes of the Storm is making a comeback
Blizzard’s MOBA Heroes of the Storm has now launched into version 2.0, which promises “more action and more heroes.” The game has undergone several changes, and new features, such as the loot box system, have been added. How this loot system works in HotS 2.0 is explained by Jürgen in this article.
Players interested in HotS have several reasons to play the game over the coming weeks. Because there are now 20 heroes available for free. To get these heroes, you just need to log in and choose a Mega Box with specific champion themes like “Assassins” or “Tanks.” Which heroes are included in the packages is shown to you by Cortyn here.
What is the editorial team playing this weekend?
Those who write about video games all week have to try out the new content too. That’s why we are looking forward to the next few days, during which we will play HotS, Hearthstone, For Honor, and other games.
Schuhmann will be playing Heroes of the Storm this weekend. But not just because he can grab the 20 free heroes there, but because he has been infected by the loot box fever. His goal is to reach the next rank to get a sparkling box as a reward for leveling up.
Ttime stays true to his line and will naturally dedicate himself to Destiny this weekend. Because Destiny 2 is already around the corner, he shows the 10 Destiny weapons that will never be forgotten. To distract himself from the farewell, For Honor is also on his agenda this weekend. The new Patch 1.06 is active but came with problems. As compensation, all players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One receive the Champion status for free for three days. This gives you benefits like higher experience gains.
Jürgen is out and about this weekend and does not have access to his computer. But that’s okay because there are cool games he can play on mobile. That’s why he opts for Blizzard’s card game Hearthstone, where he hopes not to encounter the quest rogue. Cortyn has already warned that quest rogues are the fun-killers in the game. Between games, he can then grab some stops in Pokémon GO and catch monsters. By the way, there are reportedly PvP battles against other trainers coming very soon.
Leya will be using the next few days outdoors and will also play Pokémon GO. For her, the good weather is a reason to start a new beginning. What has changed since summer 2016 is described here. However, if the weather turns bad, her alternative is the hero shooter Paladins. There she is playing with the champion Seris – a healer who tears souls apart!
I will meet up with friends this weekend and catch a few wild Pokémon that I come across along the way. At home, League of Legends is on the agenda, which is receiving a huge update mid-season.
Now for the most important question: What are your games for the weekend? Are you dedicating yourselves to your favorite games or do you want to try out new games? Let us know in the comments what you have planned.
