For Warframe, the eagerly awaited open-world update Plains of Eidolon will be released soon. However, it will not be in the last week of September. The developers are working hard and even cancel the Devstream to finish the update as quickly as possible.
Warframe impressed fans and critics when a few months ago the big open-world update Plains of Eidolon was presented at the in-house convention Tennocon. Since then, players have been eagerly waiting for the update, but concrete release dates are hard to find. According to the developers, the release is imminent. Perhaps even this week?
However, there has been disillusionment: Plains of Eidolon will not come this week, and there will also be no Devstream from the developers!
Release of Plains of Eidolon in October?
The reason for the stream’s cancellation is, according to community manager Rebecca Ford, the great stress currently at Digital Extremes studio. They are indeed working like crazy to finish the Eidolon update.
It was once planned that Plains of Eidolon would come this week. However, they decided to give themselves more time to complete the update.
Ford still does not want to specify exact dates. But the announcement sounds promising. The release date of Plains of Eidolon will be announced early next week.
If the release of Plains of Eidolon was truly planned for the last week of September, it could well mean that the open-world update is coming in October!
Day-Night Cycle and Giant Monsters in the Open World
Once Plains of Eidolon is released, you will experience new aspects of Warframe. Instead of roaming in confined areas, you will explore a large open map on the Plains of Eidolon. There, the usual enemies will roam during the day, which you can easily defeat with your Tenno.
However, at night, stronger foes venture out of their hiding places, and the tough endgame begins. The toughest battles will occur in Plains of Eidolon when the titular Eidolon appear. These are gigantic monsters that the developers internally refer to as Kaiju, Titans akin to Godzilla!
