It is clear that nature has been beautifully implemented in RDR 2. However, how realistic it looks is proven by a mix-up where a TV station mistook a screenshot from the game for a real nature picture.
What happened? A player posted on reddit that his daughter took a screenshot in RDR 2 and sent it to her local TV station KTVT 21 from Oregon. They have a program called “Out&About” where people send in their nature pictures from various outings, and these pictures are then broadcasted.
The daughter likely wanted to have some fun, but it actually worked. The TV station included the screenshot and added it among the real nature photos. This was also broadcasted on Out&About.
According to the reddit user, this has not been the first time his daughter submitted a picture from RDR 2 and the TV station fell for it.
“This shows how realistic RDR 2 is”
In your adventures as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, you will inevitably experience how much love for detail there is in nature and the environment.
Be it the sunshine filtering through the misty forest or the waterfall that looks so realistic it impresses. In RDR 2, you can take excellent pictures, as players repeatedly demonstrate.
Even a birdwatcher praised the realistic nature and wildlife of Red Dead Redemption 2. He was able to continue his hobby in the game, although he did point out a few criticisms.
Those who want to see the full potential can experience it impressively on PC. No wonder that such pictures can sometimes be mistaken for real photos from real life.
A player also thinks so, who commented under the YouTube video showing the Out&About clip: “Showing a screenshot from RDR 2 is somehow funny, but it also demonstrates how realistic the game really is.”
A 65-year-old also seems to be captivated by RDR 2 and its nature. He has completed the story mode over 30 times and is not interested in other games at all, even though his son has tried to get him excited about other games multiple times.
