In Pokémon GO the research for the Air Adventure was accidentally reset for some players. As an apology, there is now a research for you that you can easily solve.
Which research was reset? In the past few days, the Air Adventure event was running in Pokémon GO. In a Limited Research, you were supposed to catch Pokémon and were rewarded with Mega Energy for Latias and Latios. Additionally, you received 3,000 XP and an encounter with a Flying Pikachu. Due to an error, the progress of some trainers was reset.
The new research “Electric Swarm in the Sky” is now active for you. We will show you what it involves and what Niantic says about it.

This is included in the research: The tasks of the new research are straightforward and can be solved quickly.
- Catch a Pokémon
- Reward: 50 Mega Energy for Latias
- Take a snapshot of a Pokémon outdoors
- Reward: 50 Mega Energy for Latios
Stage reward: If you complete both tasks and have collected your rewards, you will additionally receive 3,000 XP and also an encounter with a flying Pikachu. Once you have collected all this, the time-limited research is complete.
The old research included the following tasks that were accidentally reset:
- Catch 10 Pokémon (gave 50 Latias Energy)
- Catch 30 Flying Pokémon (gave 50 Latios Energy)
- Additionally 3,000 XP and an encounter with a flying Pikachu
This is what Niantic says about it: On Twitter, the support account of Niantic posted on May 13 at 08:48 AM:
“We apologize to the trainers whose time-limited research for the Air Adventure event was reset before the event ended. A time-limited research with the same rewards is now available for all trainers until May 18 at 8:00 PM local time. Thank you for your understanding.”
