What happened by mistake? As a user reported on Reddit, he suddenly saw the announcement for the spring event in Pokémon GO in the game. He took screenshots of it and shared them with the community. Shortly afterwards, the announcement was removed from the game again. There is still no official blog post available.

Jump into Spring 2023: Start, Content, Bonuses
When does it start? The event begins on April 4 at 10:00 AM local time. It will be active until April 10 at 8:00 PM local time. Niantic has already confirmed these dates in the event overview for April 2023.
What is included in the event?
- Raids: During the event, you should encounter Lugia* and the incarnate form of Thundurus in the raids. Both have a chance to be caught as shiny.
- In Mega Raids, you will encounter Mega Lopunny.
- New Pokémon: You can encounter Wommel for the first time as a new Pokémon. This Pokémon belongs to the bug and fairy types and originates from the 7th generation of games. You will also be able to encounter its evolution, Bandelby, in the wild. Niantic has already teased the release of the Pokémon.
- Eggs: Riolu is hiding in the 2 km eggs.
- Bonuses: The Easter event is naturally focused on eggs. Therefore, you will receive double the amount of candy for hatching eggs. In addition, eggs only need half the distance to hatch. Lucky Eggs activated during the event will remain active for one full hour.
