The first players in FIFA 22 have already received their Weekend League Rewards. However, there is a problem with the Player Picks – which is why they are currently disabled.
Update, October 10: According to EA, the Player Picks are now being added back to the rewards, as announced on Twitter. Furthermore, players who have already claimed their incorrect rewards will be contacted in-game and will receive the correct rewards. However, this may still take some time – no timeframe has been provided.

Why are there already Weekend League Rewards? In FIFA 22, the Weekend League rewards now run with a new system. You no longer receive rewards on Thursday after the Weekend League, but directly once you have completed all matches (or when the competition is over).
The first players have apparently already reached this goal, as the first Weekend League started on October 8. Accordingly, the first players have already received their Player Picks – the untradeable, red versions of the current TOTW players.
However, there was an error with the Player Picks: The reward players were not untradeable this time.
EA Sports disables tradable Player Picks
This is the error: Normally, Player Picks consist of a selection of special, red FUT Champions cards that cannot be sold. However, it seems that the Picks from the rewards of the first Weekend League were tradable, as players report on reddit.
Even now (Friday, 4:10 PM), corresponding cards can still be found on the transfer market, which should not exist there. Thus, some players can now hope for coin profit from their Player Picks.
This is how EA reacts: They have apparently quickly noticed the error, as it was announced on Twitter that the Player Picks will be disabled for now.
So if you claim your Weekend League Rewards now, you will not receive any player choice for the time being. Affected players are to receive their Player Picks “at a later time” – that is, after the problem is resolved.
