After over a year since the release on Xbox One, the action RPG Path of Exile from Grinding Gear Games might soon come to PS4 as well.
What happened? The Digital Game Rating Committee of Taiwan, its equivalent to our USK, has released a new rating for Path of Exile. The special thing about it is: the PS4 is listed as a platform for the game. So it can be assumed that the game will also be available on the Sony console in the future.
Unfortunately, this is the only information that comes from the committee’s rating. No release date has been mentioned, so it cannot be estimated when the PS4 version might go online with us.
What does the community say? The news was received positively on the “Path of Exile” subreddit. However, players found the possible consequences of a PS4 port much more interesting. The structure of the PS4’s firmware is very similar to that of the Linux operating system. Accordingly, the user acylus0 said:
“This is a gift from God. It could mean we get a Linux client”
Whether that will actually happen, however, is still up in the air.
