In Destiny 2 there is currently a crazy discovery that is causing a lot of buzz. Even Bungie can hardly believe what is happening.
This is the insane situation: Destiny 2 is not only a great shooter but also features many RPG elements. One of them is the ability to strengthen allies (buff) or weaken enemies (debuff). This is done through abilities or certain weapons that have special effects.
The fact that a weapon can now debuff an entire activity and make it significantly easier is something entirely new. When a player shared this discovery on reddit, no one initially believed him. The reactions quickly changed to astonishment and disbelief, even the Destiny developer responded delightfully to this.
This weapon and activity are the focus: Is the Seraph Tower event from Season 10 too difficult for you, or do you simply want to test something highly unusual? Then it’s time to dust off the Tractor Cannon. This exotic fires a pulse that makes enemies more vulnerable to incoming damage.
If you shoot the Exo Pump at the wandering “energy ball” of the seasonal Seraph activity, the entire activity becomes more susceptible. Not to damage, but to thrown charges. Instead of the usual number, only 5 charges are needed. This means you can afford a few misfires and also save valuable time.
Destiny players are amused and confused
This is how the community reacts: Many players respond to the strange discovery on reddit. Some initially doubt its authenticity or think the debuffed activity is a joke. However, the users agree and are grateful for this funny and very useful find.
However, many have a question:
How… was this even found? Who looked at the tower and said: “I’m going to blast that thing with the Tractor Cannon.”

The cynics among the commentators remark: “Bungie will soon announce that the Tractor Cannon or the entire Seraph Tower event will be disabled.” This is a nasty jab at the frequent disabling of exotics lately.
This is what Bungie says about it: Representing the Destiny developer, community manager Dylan “dmg04” Gafner jumps in to say on reddit first only with one word of confusion: “Wat?” He receives praise and a ton of upvotes for the “appropriate reaction.”
The users ask the community manager not to pass this on to the development team. To the delight of the Redditors, dmg04 explains:
With all the other feedback I’m seeing (for heaven’s sake, check out the front page [of the Destiny Subreddit] today!)… this is the last thing I’m passing on
According to the opinions of PvP players, not everything is going right in the Crucible right now. Cheaters are said to ruin the experience for honest guardians. Bungie has now commented on the cheaters and the anti-cheat system of Destiny 2.
