The free fighting game MultiVersus is still popular two months after its release on Steam. However, one player has stumbled upon something strange: Many players do not have an easily obtainable achievement. For that, you basically just have to be nice.
What is this achievement? “Nice Speech” is an achievement where you need to toast 10 players in MultiVersus. Toasts are a currency that you can earn or buy.
After each match, you can toast your opponents, for which they receive 25 coins and can toast back. It’s a sort of sportsmanlike “GG” after the match ends, and a win-win situation, as coins can be used to unlock new heroes.

As a player discovered on reddit (via reddit.com), only 30% of players have this achievement. We checked and can confirm: globally, exactly 29.9% of players have toasted at least 10 others.
The topic has created quite a stir on reddit and has been the biggest topic in the MultiVersus subreddit recently. Fans are discussing how it can be that over 70% of players do not have such an easy achievement.
After all, only 5 – 10 rounds are required to get “Nice Speech.” But it apparently isn’t because all players are just unfriendly.

“Most do not play beyond the tutorial”
Why do so few players have the achievement? In the discussion, two theories emerge that most agree with. The first is that toasts are simply not explained.
As a new player, one doesn’t really know what to do with these things and that they provide an advantage. They simply do not use the feature because they are not aware of it.
The second, more likely theory is that many apparently do not play beyond the tutorial. MultiVersus is free and attracts many interested players. Many then apparently decide that the brawler is not for them and do not touch the game again.
As players, however, they are still counted – just as those who have not earned the achievement.
How is MultiVersus doing? Even though things have calmed down a bit regarding the beat-em-up, MultiVersus remains popular. According to steamcharts, over 10,000 players were still playing simultaneously on the last day (as of September 19, 12:00 PM). In the last 30 days, the average was over 14,800.
