Battlefield 1 – More Camaraderie Through Platoons in the Spring Update
The World War shooter Battlefield 1 from EA has been enhanced with a few useful features in the Spring Update. Above all are the long-awaited platoons. This refers to clans in Battlefield, i.e., groups of players who can better coordinate.
The platoons in Battlefield 1 can comprise up to 100 players, and the platoon founder is the General, who has all the rights. The next rank is Colonel, who is considered the deputy of the clan chief. Below them are Lieutenants, whose primary role is to recruit other members. You can promote members up to your rank and kick anyone below you.
Platoons also have their own rules in the game. If your side in a battle consists solely or almost entirely of members of the same platoon, your platoon name will be displayed as the team name. If your platoon captures a flag, your own platoon flag will be flown from there on. This creates camaraderie and a sense of belonging. Additionally, your Battlefield 1 platoons are also valid in Battlefield 4.
Battlefield 1 – Spring Update – Help, Medic!
The platoons are not the only innovation in Battlefield 1. In conjunction with the new platoons, there is now the option to protect servers with a password. This way, you can prevent outsiders from disturbing you while playing in the clan. But things have also changed within the game itself. If you’re half-dead on the ground and shouting for a medic, you can now get feedback from them. Then you’ll always know whether it’s worth waiting or if no one is coming.
However, there are also new reasons for fallen soldiers, as level 10 weapons now receive four new variants: Hellriegel 1915 Defensive, Selbstlader 1906 (Sniper version), Huot MG (Automatic Optical), and Martini Henry (Sniper version). On the other hand, pilots have less fun now. Since airplanes were previously too strong, they can now be more easily countered from the ground and are not as overpowered anymore.
Battlefield 1 – Beer and Ribbons as Rewards
As a reward for your efforts, you can earn up to 19 new ribbon ribbons for battling bravely and diligently on the battlefield. Additionally, you can adorn yourself with five new dog tags, including the hearty German beer mug brand, which is certainly not historically accurate.
On page three, expect a game that was shaken up quite a bit by a small update.
