Are you finding the battles in the Battlefield games too small? Then the open beta of the new online shooter Enlisted might be interesting for you.
What is Enlisted? The online shooter puts you in World War II, where you fight in initially two campaigns. These campaigns allow you to reenact the invasion of Normandy on one hand and the battle of Moscow on the other. A third campaign has been planned for a while.
However, you are not alone on the battlefield. You command a squad of 12 AI soldiers. You can either jump into the role of one of these fighters at any time or give them commands on how to proceed on the battlefield. This feature not only makes the fights more tactical, but they are also larger. 100 soldiers will be on a battlefield, making the fights feel more realistic compared to, for example, the Battlefield series.
In general, Enlisted strongly resembles the shooter series from Dice and EA. You experience action-packed multiplayer battles in teams, utilize vehicles and aircraft in the fights, and need to cooperate to defend against enemies. All of this is experienced from the first-person perspective, much like in Battlefield. Classes also play an important role, including pilots, snipers, and tank drivers. As in Battlefield, the classes differ in equipment, abilities, and weapons.
You may also drive tanks or fly an airplane to intervene in the combat.
Experience the realistic online shooter in the open beta
What else is special about the game? Enlisted focuses on realism. This means, for example, that tanks drive very clumsily and slowly or that a single well-aimed shot can mean the end for one of the soldiers. The battles are very intense, fast, and you must proceed very tactically and thoughtfully to achieve victory.

How to join: Starting April 8, the open beta of Enlisted begins on PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. You can simply create an account and join. No key is needed anymore like in the closed beta.
You will play starting April 8 directly through the official website of the shooter (via Enlisted website), the PSN, or the Microsoft Store. You just need to search for the game in your console’s store, download it, and you will be in the battles.
What does the open beta offer? Just like in the closed beta, you will participate in the two campaigns:
- Invasion of Normandy
- Battle for Moscow
However, you will gain access to some new weapons and new vehicles as well as additional aircraft. In addition, anti-tank landmines will be introduced, and you must complete new missions.
Additionally, the reward system has been revamped. Instead of receiving random loot for the campaigns, you will now complete tasks in a sort of battle pass and unlock predetermined rewards.
