Samsung is rolling out a major update to Android 14 with One UI 6.1 for its devices. MeinMMO lists which devices will receive the update starting May 2024 and which might follow later.
What is One UI 6.1? One UI 6.1 is Samsung’s second major update built on Android 14. Visually, there aren’t many changes, but there are some new features and improvements. The big story centers around Galaxy AI, Samsung’s suite of AI-enhanced features available throughout the software.
When will the update be rolled out? Starting March 28, 2024, the update will be distributed for Samsung devices. Older models (manufactured before 2023) are expected to receive the update after a few months, but more information is not yet available.
One UI 6.1: All devices receiving the Android update
All devices released in 2023 will definitely receive the update to One UI 6.1. We have listed the corresponding models here.

Which devices might also receive One UI 6.1? Most likely, almost all models that already received Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6 will also get the update to One UI 6.1. However, we believe it is unlikely that older devices will receive the full range of AI features. This will likely be reserved for devices from 2023.
For the following older devices, Samsung has already confirmed that they will also receive an update to One UI 6.1:

Samsung promises between 4 and 7 updates for many models
What reasons support or oppose updates? The Korean manufacturer now promises a fixed number of updates for many models that they will definitely receive:
- Models from the Galaxy S series after the S20 series will receive four years of operating system updates.
- The latest Galaxy S24 models will even receive 7 operating system updates.
- Models from the Galaxy Z series that were released after the Fold 2/Flip 2 are entitled to four upgrades, according to Samsung.
- For the Galaxy Tab S8 series models and all S-series tablets released after the Galaxy Tab S8, the manufacturer offers four years of Android updates.
