In Borderlands 3 players are currently discovering many new ways to blow their enemies off the map. Here is a new build that causes absurdly high damage.
This is what the new build is capable of: Defeating enemies in Borderlands 3, especially at high Mayhem levels, can sometimes be quite challenging. Currently, several players are showcasing an Amara build that deals extremely high damage.
How it looks in action and how the build works is explained by YouTuber Command3r Keen Gaming in his video.

Enemies stand no chance against high melee damage
This is how the new build works: The YouTuber has skillfully designed his Amara to primarily deal a lot of melee damage. Here you can see the skill trees:

With this point distribution, Amara can use her Action Skill often and keeps the cooldowns low. The fact that melee damage is pushed up so high is crucial – because it’s ultimately the equipment that causes incredibly high damage.
This is the equipment you need: In the video, a combination of several components is shown. These are:
- A Facepuncher with the “300% damage at over 90%” life anointment
- The “White Elephant” artifact
- The Spiritual Driver Class Mod
- The Pioneer’s Guardian Rank
This combination makes Amara extremely dangerous. The Facepuncher converts Amara’s melee damage into weapon damage, including an extra bonus against enemies that still have almost full health. The “White Elephant” adds extra damage explosions to melee damage, while the Spiritual Driver takes the numbers even higher.
Lastly, the Pioneer’s rank comes into play. This is one of the new Guardian Ranks from the big June update. Melee and slam attacks trigger an aftershock that deals 25% of the non-melee damage done within the last 5 seconds. These waves can be activated multiple times by the build.
The combination of Facepuncher and White Elephant is also possible on other characters, but Amara has advantages due to her skills. Mobs like bosses fall to this build extremely quickly, as shown in the video.
Will this combination remain in the game? Gearbox has often struck with nerfs when certain combinations proved to be too powerful. However, fans were recently pleased that nerfs surprisingly did not occur. So it could be worth giving the build a chance.
