Since the Wano Arc, not only has the animation style in One Piece changed, but the quality of the animations has also significantly improved. A battle in the current arc is one of the best fights in the series, but in the manga, the fight spans only one page.
Attention Spoiler: The following article contains spoilers for episode 1109 of the One Piece anime and for chapter 1073 of the manga.
Which episode is it about? In episode 1109, the crew is still on Egghead Island and has a lot to do. After the fight against Rob Lucci and Ecki, Luffy and Zoro must face the Seraphim. The Seraphim are clones of the seven Warlords of the Sea.
In the manga, the duel between Zoro and S-Hawk, the clone of Mihawk, is only one page, but the anime turns it into one of the most spectacular fights in One Piece, which is why manga readers should take a look as well.

A feast for fans of great battles
Filler episodes are actually quite an unpopular topic in the anime community, as they often contribute to the stretching of episodes or entire arcs. However, the One Piece anime has been trying for some time to offer added value, for example by expanding battles. This was also the case with Lucci against Luffy on Egghead Island.
In episode 1109, the anime focuses on itself and showcases the spectacular fight between Zoro and S-Hawk. The battle has everything one could wish for: great animations, good choreography that sometimes reminds one of kung fu movies, and also some slapstick comedy in the form of Ecki.
In the post from X user @d0nut2x, you can watch the mentioned scene. Positive voices are gathering in the comments, including from people who actually don’t watch One Piece.

It took 1000 episodes, but we made it.
The fight is a true feast for Zoro fans, as it feels like a love letter to his old battles. S-Hawk not only has the style and appearance of Mihawk, but also abilities from Mr.1, another legendary opponent of Zoro. The former rival of One Piece also has great battles.
