What idea did Oda have? In an interview, Oda explained that two of his manga editors had become parents. He was happy for them and congratulated them on their happiness. But Oda had a bizarre idea in mind.
He allegedly tried to get the two editors to name their child after the ship of the Straw Hat crew. Luffy and his crew are currently sailing on the Thousand Sunny, so he wanted to name the two children “Thousand Sunny.”

Are there more ideas from Oda? The mangaka wanted to celebrate the birth of a former editor’s child in another case. He took the birth as an opportunity and drew a really beautiful picture of Luffy throwing a baby in the air that resembles Nami.
The editor named Habuta was very happy about the picture. He revealed that it was the happiest moment for him since he became an editor at Shonen Jump. This is the publisher that releases a new chapter of One Piece weekly.
He probably means the happiest moment in a professional sense, as the birth of his daughter must have held at least as much significance for him.
What exactly is a manga editor? A mangaka works in close collaboration with the publisher that releases his works. The interface is the editors. They are the first people to see the work of the mangaka.
The mangaka cannot always have his way. The editors are there to give the creator feedback so that he can revise his work.
