With a new teaser, Netflix has confirmed the release date of Season 3 of One Piece. While fans had to wait almost 3 years after Season 1, you won’t have to wait as long for Season 3 of the adventure series.
When does Season 3 of One Piece start on Netflix? As Netflix confirms on their website, Season 3 of One Piece is set to premiere in 2027, which is already next year. However, no exact timeframe was mentioned in the blog post.
The production is already taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, according to the post. As part of this, One Piece on YouTube also released a small teaser that shows the skull symbol, with the subtitle The Battle of Alabasta
.

What will Season 3 be about? As the title suggests, Season 3 on Netflix will focus on the Kingdom of Alabasta. This is the home of Vivi, who joined the crew in Season 2. The desert land is in a difficult situation. A rebellion against the king, Vivi’s father, is brewing.
However, the puppet master behind the conflict is not the king, but Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, who was already seen briefly in Season 2.
The Straw Hat crew finds themselves in the midst of the conflict, wanting to fight for Vivi and facing the Baroque Company, Crocodile’s organization.
The arc was already a kind of turning point for the story of One Piece in the anime and manga. For the first time, Luffy and his friends interfere in world events and encounter enemies that push the limits of their abilities.
Already in Alabasta, things about the world are established that remain relevant for years to come.
What information is there about the new cast in Season 3? In the blog post, Netflix mentions again the new actors who were already known and will make their first appearance in Season 3:
- Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace
- Cole Escola as Bon Curry/Mr. 2
- Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger
- Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1
Netflix has not yet revealed exactly when it will begin, but since filming is underway, it probably won’t be long before we know a precise release timeframe. The creators originally wanted to make 12 seasons, but there are some issues against it: The creators of One Piece on Netflix plan a saga of 12 seasons, but how realistic is that?
