In chapter 1136 of the manga One Piece, a character reveals what abilities they possess. Some fans are immediately reminded of Imu, who has yet to reveal their identity.
Attention, Spoiler: Here follow information about chapter 1136 of One Piece and all previously published chapters.
Which character is it? Just a few chapters ago, two individuals were summoned who are on their way to Loki, a fearsome giant. They want him to join the Tenryubito, the knight order of the gods. After all, the promotion of Figarland Garling to one of the Five Elders has left a gap among the knights.
Gunko is a young woman in a military uniform who can summon an arrow from her sleeve. The arrow grabs a wolf that wants to rush to Loki’s aid. With the arrow, she can even lift the gigantic beast into the air.
Unfortunately, we learn very little more about Gunko and her abilities. However, some fans have noticed that they have seen the ability before and believe that Gunko has another identity as well. They suspect that Imu’s true identity is the young knight of the gods.
In One Piece, there are many cool ships that lead the pirate crews to their destination:
Gunko’s arrow attack resembles Imu
Why should Imu actually be Gunko? In a Reddit thread, user Low-Yam395 points out that Gunko’s and Imu’s arrow attacks are almost identical. Therefore, he suspects that the young woman is behind the person at the top of the world government.
She has two different eye patterns, which could indicate that she has two personalities. Furthermore, the magical circle from which the lady has emerged is exactly the summoning circle that Imu also uses to summon the Five Elders. Many readers in the Fanverse therefore think that they are one and the same person.
How likely could this be? Although the arrow attack and the summoning circle suggest that Imu and Gunko are the same person, there are some counterarguments:
- The arrow that Imu used is dripping before it pierces King Cobra and Sabo. Gunko’s arrow, on the other hand, looks like a solid bandage.
- There are 4 knights of the gods. Since they are subordinate to Imu, it is likely that they have received some abilities from him, just like the Five Elders. What the other knights are capable of has not yet been revealed.
- Imu pierced King Cobra with his attack. Gunko, on the other hand, wraps her arrow around the wolf and lifts it into the air. These are two different approaches.
- Gunko has two different eye patterns, but Imu’s eyes look the same.
Therefore, we estimate that while Gunko has similarities with Imu, this can be attributed to her status as a knight of the gods. The Five Elders possess even greater similarities with Imu due to their transformation ability, which is why we do not assume that Gunko and Imu are the same person.
Keep in mind that this is just an assessment on our part. Only the author Eiichiro Oda and a few selected individuals know who Imu is.
Imu wants to implement a grand plan that affects the entire world of One Piece. What he intends to do and what it means for Luffy and his friends, you can find out on MeinMMO: One Piece is likely to reveal one of the biggest mysteries about the world that fans have been waiting for
